Rise Again Animal Rescue was started by four likeminded individuals who saw the same need in the animal rescue world: to advocate for those most at risk for euthanasia and premature death — neonate kittens and medically complex animals. Our commitment is to always put animals’ needs first. With over half a century of combined experience, we are ready to provide necessary care and the best chance of survival for these challenging cases.

MEET OUR TEAM

Danielle McKibban

Danielle is a Cardiac Nurse, Ice Hockey Mom, and lifelong animal lover. She started her rescue journey 19 years ago with an all-cat rescue. From there she moved onto local open intake shelters advocating for one of the most misunderstood breeds, “Pitbulls.”

She has a soft spot for the underdogs and has fostered dozens of behavioral and medically timestamped animals. Danielle has directed animal shelter volunteer programs and has helped raise thousands of dollars for other rescues by teaching effective social media marketing techniques.

Animal Rescue has always been her “hearts” work. Funny enough, she met her husband volunteering at the animal shelter. They now live their happily ever after with their two human kiddos, two dogs, and two cats.

Ekaterina Sedia

Ekaterina (Kat) Sedia is a lifelong animal lover, with over forty years of experience in cat husbandry. She has fostered dozens of cats and kittens, many with special needs. She has a special place in her heart for cats with neurological disorders, and challenging behavioral cases.

She is a professor of biology at Stockton University, where she teaches classes in ecology, plant science, genetics, and professional writing.

Kat currently lives in Hammonton with her two dogs, Rory and Cookie; two cats, Phineas and David Cronenberg; and her husband Chris.

Patty Lafferty

Patty is an artist, Mom, voracious reader and a total phytophile. Working from home as a painter while raising her children has provided the perfect environment for fostering with multiple rescues. Over the past 15 years she has grown a deep passion for neonatal feline care with the last 8 years devoted solely to caring for kittens as young as a few hours old. She firmly believes that undertaking even the direst situations is always worth a try. Patty aims to show others that there is a little something we can all do that will make a big impact in the lives of these animals.

Dana Gregg

Dana is a local businesswoman, mom, grandmom, and a guardian of many furry family members! She is an experienced foster, having cared for kittens, medically urgent animals, and cats abandoned by their owners. She works for Oaks Integrated Quality Assurance as a Safety Inspection Specialist. She also makes herbal beauty products, drawing on her knowledge of medicinal plants and aromatherapy. She hopes that one day rescues and shelters are no longer needed and every animal has a loving family and home; until then, Dana will be saving lives!
